Ather Energy, based in Bengaluru, has begun production of its highly anticipated Ather Rizta electric scooter. Deliveries are expected to start in July, marking a significant achievement for the company. Co-founder and CEO Tarun Mehta shared this announcement on X.Launched in April this year, the Rizta comes in two variants: S and Z. These variants start at Rs 1.10 lakh, ex-showroom. The scooter offers two battery options. The base S variant has a 2.9 kWh battery pack, providing a range of 105 km on a single charge. The Rizta Z variant can be equipped with either a 2.9 kWh or a 3.7 kWh battery, with the latter offering a claimed range of 159 km.
The Rizta also offers ample storage space. It includes a 34-litre underseat storage area, with an optional 22-litre flexible frunk available, making it practical for everyday use. Following the success of its sporty 450 series, Ather Energy has now turned its focus to the broader family scooter market.
The base S variant is priced at Rs. 1,09,999. The Rizta Z with the 2.9 kWh battery is available for Rs. 1,24,999. The top-tier Rizta Z with the 3.7 kWh battery pack costs Rs. 1,44,999. All prices are ex-showroom.
