IPL 2024, CSK vs GT: Chennai Super Kings defeated Gujarat Titans by massive 63 runs in their second match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. CSK played a dominating game against GT in Chepauk and registered their second consecutive victory of the season. The Player of the Match was Shivam Dube, who played an aggressive and superb innings of 51 runs in 23 balls.
The defending champions, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are playing exceptional cricket in the TATA IPL 2024 as they performed well in the last two matches played so far. Skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad is also doing an excellent job under the guidance of MS Dhoni as he is rotating the bowlers at the right time and utilizing his true potential. Now, CSK is in good momentum and they just need to carry it forward in the upcoming games.
Gujarat Titans played poor cricket in their second match of IPL 2024 against CSK with both bat and ball. While bowling first, GT bowlers leaked lots of runs and failed to break the partnership. However, When Gujarat was chasing the target their batters failed to make a partnership therefore lost the match by a massive margin of 63 runs.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batters first and their openers gave a wonderful start to the team as CSK scored 69 runs in the first six overs of the match with a loss of one wicket. Skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad and Rachin Ravindra made an important partnership of 62 runs for the first wicket. Ruturaj Gaikwad and Rachin Ravindra scored 42 runs each.
Later, Shivam Dube started playing with the Gujarat Titans bowlers especially spinners as he continued hitting boundaries and didn’t lead them to make a comeback in the game. Shivam Dube scored 51 runs in just 23 balls with five sixes and two fours whereas Daryl Mitchell scored 24 runs in 20 balls.
In the end, The Youngster Sameer Rizvi scored 14 runs in 6 balls and led Chennai Super Kings to a massive total of 206 runs in 20 overs. From Gujarat Titans Bowling Department, Rashid Khan took two wickets whereas Sai Kishore, Spencer Johnson and Mohit Sharma took one wicket each.
Gujarat Titans failed to chase the target of 207 runs against the strong bowling unit of Chennai Super Kings. Skipper Shubman Gill was able to score 8 runs only whereas Sai Sudharsan scored 37 runs in 31 balls. Sai was the only batter, who fought against the CSK bowling unit whereas other batters easily lost their wicket.
From the CSK bowling department, Deepak Chahar, Mushtafizur Rahman and Tushar Deshpande took two wickets each whereas Matheesha Pathirana and Daryl Mitchell and took one wicket each.
