PAK vs IRE T20I Series: After playing a draw T20I series against New Zealand at home, Pakistan are set to tour Ireland for a three-match T20I series. The series will kick-start on 10 April and all the three T20Is will be played at a single venue in Ireland. Originally slated for July 2020, a two-match T20I series was canceled because of the Covid-19 epidemic. This series will mark a notable milestone as Pakistan and Ireland’s first multi-match bilateral T20I meeting. The two sides have only faced once before in the shortest format, which occurred in a one-off game in 2009.

Pakistan recently had a T20I series against New Zealand at home, which would have made some doubts clear for them in order to prepare for T20 World Cup. This series and the England tour which is scheduled shortly after this series play a major role in Pakistan’s direction and mindset for the upcoming ICC main event.

Shaheen Shah was exceptional in the home series and his role in Ireland and England will be huge. He might get company from Mohammad Amir and surely Naseem Shah. There is an uncertainty on Haris Rauf making his spot in the playing 11.

The three-match T20I series will start on May 10 and each game has a 1-day gap in between. The first T20I will be played on May 10 at 02:30 PM IST at Clontarf Cricket Club Ground, Dublin. The same venue will host the other two contests on May 12 and May 14.

The squads for the series are not announced yet but Pakistan might go with an almost similar lineup that they had against New Zealand with some minor changes. Haris Rauf might make his comeback to the squad and Mohammad Haris may also find his name in the final cut.
