You’re cutting peppers wrong – foolproof method to get rid of seeds

A cooking expert has revealed the easiest way to chop peppers, ensuring you get rid of all the unwanted seeds.

Peppers have an unusual shape and there are many different ways to cut them. However, their seedy core can often get in the way and the unwanted food waste can make its way into our meals.

Avoiding the membrane can be difficult, too. But, luckily for us home chefs, that’s all about to change.

TikToker zwilling UK has taken to the social media account to reveal the ultimate pepper-chopping hack. Not only does it ensure perfect results but it also saves time when preparing food.

In the video, a female voice explains the first thing you need to do is chop off the top and bottom of the pepper. Then, when the pepper is standing upright, you should cut down the membrane to open the pepper up.

From here, you can fully open it out, and cut out the middle of the pepper. This allows you to cut up the rest of the vegetable into chunks.

The voiceover revealed the hack is “very simple” and avoids you getting any unwanted parts of the pepper into your meals. By following the method, it ensures you’re only left with the colourful slices of pepper you actually want to eat.

Hundreds of people have liked the video, and many were quick to say how great they thought the trick was. Some said it would change the way they chop forever.

One person said: “Thank you.” Another also said: “Thanks girl.”

The zwilling_uk TikTok page boasts lots of other handy tips – like how to keep foods fresher for longer and how to perfect cooking certain meals like eggs.

The internet is full of hacks and people sharing their tips. There’s even advice on how to chop garlic “like a pro” in one clever video.

It turns out it’s all in the knife action, though sometimes it can be beneficial to have a garlic crusher too. Who knew there were so many simple ways to make cooking easier?
