An Air India flight heading from Delhi to Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam on June 19 had to return mid-way because of a technical problem, the airline said on Thursday.
The flight, AI388, safely landed back in Delhi, and all 130+ passengers were taken off the plane without any trouble.
According to sources, the Airbus A320neo aircraft made a mid-air U-turn as a precautionary step after it developed a technical snag. The flight had taken off at 1:45 pm, around 45 minutes late, as shown on flight tracking site Flightradar24.
Air India said a different aircraft with a new crew has been arranged to take the passengers to Ho Chi Minh City, though the airline did not give an exact departure time.
